Euclid Network’s Annual Conference : Finding solutions Together !

Is Europe starting to see the calm after the strom following the global economic crisis that shook the world more than five years ago ?
Economists  are still discussing this but it is certainly not plain sailing from here and we must recognize that the consequences of that period have had a lasting impact on our society.
We need to adapt our approach in order to tackle the issue in front of us.
Euclid Network seeks to confront these challenge head on. We are working with civil society and social entrepreneurs to tackle social issues in Europe. Come on board the ship we have chartered to sail the seas and find solutions – it’s all hands on deck!

The Five Challenges : As recognised event the European Commission’s conference, "Social Entrepreneurs : Have your Say !" (16-17 Juanary, 2014), Euclid Network conference will confront the challenges currently being faced by civil society and social entrepreneurs and mobilize an engaged community to find solutions together. Concentrating on five specific challenges, submitted to Euclid Network following our open-call participants will work together with experts and peers to develop ideas and solutions over the course of the day.

The Habour : There will be a range of dicussion groups which will provide the tools required to approach the challenges. Three core themes have been identified as common to all the challenges : "Visibility and invisibility", "Succes : is it always a 'moving target" ? and  "Getting on the Right Track".
Participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions wich address these  themes in order to  strengthen their understanding of the issues surrounding their challenge.

The Treasure : At the end of the conference, participants will be able to present their findings to experts and advocate for change in Europe. The main recommendations will feed into the European Commission's conference the following day.

Relax on Deck : In the evening, Euclid Network will be offering a number of informal social entrepreneurship cafés around Strasbourg in partenership with StartHop. These will be led by our partners and members, o, a range of interesting entrerprise topics.

The Conference is founded on the four Euclid Netwok benefit of learning, piloting, advocating and networking.
Throughout the day, a digital voting system will collect participants' opinions on key policy issues as we set a course for social change !

Chartering Into The Future réunit aujourd'hui au Conseil Général du Bas-Rhin plus de 150 leaders de la société civile et entrepreneurs sociaux venant de plus de 30 pays à Strasbourg (France) afin de travailler sur les défis les plus difficiles de l'Europe. 
Les résultats acquis de Chartering Into The Future s’inscriront directement le programme de la prochaine Commission européenne.
